Final regular Season Home Game Wednesday night
2014-02-11The Valley Maple Leafs will have Maggy Burbidge dropping the puck Wednesday night.
"Maggy Burbidge, the 13 year old daughter of Jeff and Alana Burbidge of Falmouth has been selected to play on the East Coast Select Q team, which is a girls team (ages 13-15) from Eastern North America that was picked at a
tryout camp in Maine on New Years day. There were over 70 girls trying out
for the team, and it encompassed girls right from Quebec to Florida and everywhere in between on the east coast. There are also two other teams from North America (central and west) and they all will be attending the World Selects Invitational tournament in Sweden and Finland from April 25th
to May 4th of this year. At that tournament, there will be teams from 6
other European countries as well as the 3 from North America, so it will be a very prestigious tourney."
Maggy will be dropping the puck and proceeds from the 50/50 will be donated to help with her trip. Come on out and cheer on the VML crew as they face off against the hungry Eastern Shore Junior Mariners. The mariners are still digging hard for that final playoff spot so I'm expecting a good one. Make sure you buys lots of 50/50's to help Maggy on her trip.
