Hump day a great day to get a little
news about a proposed new Arena that probaly would have heat. Yep Hump day had the locals braze the conditions(something hockey fans are used to) to get an update on what's going on with the rumours of a new rink. It sounds good so far with lots yet to be decided/settled. A step in the right direction, Ya have to start with a mitt full of snow before you end up with a snowman. Hmmm I like that one I doubt That it's original though. Anyway it would be nice to watch a home game without freezing to death and I'm sure it would help put more fans in the stands.
Thursday night sees the crew at home with 'Elk in the Barn' as Brookfield comes to town to take on your Valley Maple Leafs. I heard last night that the old Windsor Maple Leafs used Maple Leafs before even Toronto. For those you that don't know the Maple Leafs name came from the old Windsor team not because of the dreamers that are Tronto fans, sorry 'Meathead'.
Yep Thursday night hockey this week with a tie for first place on the line. Actually it would be first place. Currently Sackville has two more points but the VML crew have two games in hand. The Elks though have always given the crew a battle with the season series split, VML with 2 wins and the Elks with one and the last two games both being one goal difference. Soo come on out and cheer on the hometown crowd.
