Valley 5 Eastern Shore 4
2014-02-02The VML crew guaranteed a playoff spot and sole possession of first place. Nuff said
Ahh I'm just messing with ya there's a lot that could be said although my mother always told me "If you haven't got anynthing good to say don't say anything."
So here's what I thought of that game.
and heres the league writeup
"In Musquodoboit Harbour the Valley Maple Leafs picked up their 8th straight win and ownership of top spot in the Fred Fox Division with a 5-4 win over the Eastern Shore Junior Mariners. Rookie Alex Feltmate led the way for the Leafs with a pair of tallies with singles going to Jon Hunson, Jeff Longaphy and Andrew Squires. Brandon Parker kicked in with two assists.
Jordan Cox led the Junior Mariners with a pair of goals to go with two assists. Allan Power and Dominic Howell rounded out the scoring for the Mariners who were outshot 42-25.
The Leafs led 3-1 after one; 4-4 after two with Feltmate breaking the tie with less than five minutes remaining.
Joe Hines picked up the win while Brandon Dorrington took the loss"
There was quite a bit said in 'The Coaches Corner Bus' on the way home although I believe a lot of that was just jibberish. You know it's funny how seven people can watch the same game and see seven different things.
Oh and Haysee's numbe is looking pretty good now if ya know what I'm saying.
Rip's 'nod' goes to the VML crew for making the playoffs for the second year straight year. Honourable mentions to Felemate with two, Squires with a good second effort goal and the big guy Jeff Longaphy for a backhander goal and an assist.
