Valley 3 Sackville 2

That's what I'm talking about! It's been alittle over six weeks since the crews last win so the ole 'Ripper' is a little rusty reporting on a win but here goes.  The boys came out on fire with numerous chance but unable to bury it (puck) tile mid way throught the first on agoal by 'Five hole' from 'Swainer' and "Cheerios'(must be the honey).  Sackville tied it up late in the third.  Thirty three seconds into the third 'Cheerios' assisted by "Palmolive' and 'Willis' had the crew back up by one and with 7:32 to go thecrew went up by two on a goal by 'Palmolive' from 'Willis' and 'Cheerios' with his third point on the night.  The lead was easier on the ole 'ticker' until the Blazers got one with with 1:23 to go.  The crew held on for the win with a solid performance between the pieps by Mithc Culley who picked up the 'Hard hat'.  It was good to see the 'five foot five' guys of 'Willis' and 'Tires' back and making a difference. The 'PK' crew were wicked as well. Yep it was good to have all the crew back and healthy and with the win I didn't have to use any 'turkey leg' excuses.

Ohh need a little legend to know what/who I'm talking about you say:

'Five Hole' - Craig Anderson sometimes referred to as 'Beaver' and 'Cap'n Andy'
'Cheerios' - Jonathan Hunson some call him Honey...I just can't do that as I don't want people thing I'm "light in the loafers"
'Palmolive' - Alex Feltmate you can figure that one out
'Willis' - Colin Gillis because it ryhmes I guess
'Swainer'- everyone knows 'Swainer' - Mark Swain
'Tires' - Andrew Squires it ryhmes better than 'Wheels" I think "Old man DiLL' calls him "Squid"
'Old man Dill' - Bobby Dill the backup backup coach
'Hard Hat' given to the player of the game after a win by whoever got it the last time.
'Turkey Legs' an excuse used for losses after Thanksgiving and Chritmas
'PK crew' - penalty kill and we use them far to much for the Ripper's ticker

Rip's 'nod' or in this case 'nods' go to the man with the "Hard Hat' Mitch Culley and 'Cheerios' Jonathan Hunson with the three point night with honourble mention to 'Willis' Colin Gillis with two points and a cool shot block when he stacked the pads.  Actually it was a solid team effort all around.
