Hump Day a good day for a little strange
Strange in that there was something big and red on the ice....oh wait that was Harry Ullock. Strange in to see someone sweeping in the stands ...oh wait that was David Hunter looking for work. I think Hunter could curl as he sure can sweep. Strange to see a forward line of goaltenders Culley. Whynot and Cavanagh...Cavvy with a C has got the moves. Strange to see 'Duster' Schofield between the pipes...he robbed the crew big time.
I was little disappointed with the turnout but it was one of those education is important things. The crew that was there had fun by the looks of it. The old guys showed they still had the moves although some were a little creaky.
Now it's time to get serious with the Easten Shore Junior Mariners coming to town Friday night. The Mariners have been on a three game winning streak of late and are the only other team to have beaten the Penguins so far this year and also took the Glace Bay Jr. Miners to shoot out twice. The Mariners also beat the VML crew 6-5 the last time they met. So heres hoping the crew are up for this one as I'm predicting it'll be a barn burner.
Soooo I would say the 'Barn' is the place to be Friday night for some good ole Junior B hockey. Se ya there.
