Battle 101

The VML crew battle through to beat the Sackville Blazers 7-4.
It was a Battle of the 101 teams with it even being a battle to get down the 101 to Sackville it was a little damp around the edges. The game was a battle or to quote 'Tires' "THE definition of greasey road win." Yep the crew came up big although it was one of those hard on the ticker close games til the final three minutes. I thought checking was only taken out of Atom hockey with the crew having to kill off penalties. Shout out here to the Valley connection of Brooker, Brown and Haysee for killing off the 5 on 3 to keep it tied at 4 apiece late in the third..Phew! I thought it was all over but the boys killed it off then Haysee got the game winner shortly there after.
Colin 'Much' Moore and Mitch 'Newf' Normore...you can blame 'Swainer' for the Handle Mitch. Anyways Moore, Normore(wasn't that a song or something) had good nights with 'Much' taking home the hardware getting; 'The Hat', hat trick and an assist and the 'Newf' picking up his first VML goal. Rounding out the scoring were Craig 'Beaver' Anderson and Johanthon 'Cheerios' Hunson with a deflection to seal the deal.
The weekend off musta helped......well they didn't really have the weekend off they just kinda played that way on Friday and Saturday. On the upside the boys are three for three after a night out in Wolfville if ya know what I'm saying. Yep the boys came up with a big win with a solid Team effort.
Rip's nod in this one goes to none other than Colin 'Much' Moore with the four point night and the coolest goal of the night. Honourable mentions to the 'Newf' with his first goal and the penalty KILL performed by Brooker, Brown and Hayes. Giddy up.
