The VML crew came up short in the first game of the home and home series losing 5-2 to the Penquins
The Ripper's a little lazy so here's the League report
"In Lantz the East Hants Penguins picked up their 9th win of the season to move into a first-place tie with the Valley Maple Leafs in the Fred Fox Division.
Cole MacDonell paced the Penguins with a pair of markers with singles going to Marc Thibodeau, Jordan Lauther and Trevor Thorne. Brandon Leonardo and Jamie Sweet both chipped in with 3 assists apiece.
Mark Swain and Greg Brown answered for the Valley.
The teams were tied at one after one; Penguins up 4-1 after two with each team adding a single in the third.
Jason Ellis picked up his 6th win of the year while Mitch Culley took the loss.
Final shots were 38 apiece."
Rip's nod in this one goes to Greg Brown who put in a solid effort and scored a short handed goal in the third with honourable mention to 'Haysee' with the dosey doe.
Game two goes tonight at 8:30 at the Appledome. A game definitely worth the trip after las nights matchup that saw a few fights/scrums. I'm expecting/hoping the crew will bounce back with the win.
Sooo today would be a great day to head down the 101, go out for supper, maybe a little shoppping then cap it off with some good ole Junior B hockey between two teams that have pretty good rivalry going. See ya there.
