Valley 8 Penquins 0
2013-02-09Tickity tick tick tick the crew are ticking 'err' I mean clicking.
The crew with a solid team effort picked up a much needed two points with 15 players getting at least a point in the win last night over the Pens. It was good seeing the crew go to the net, much to the pleasure of yours truly and our trusty PLC. It's always nice to see someone get the "Hard Hat' as it's only given out after a win, in this case it was ole 'Handy five hole Andy', Craig Anderson wearing the Hat home....how'd the placard girls like that 'Andy'??
How about ole 'Shorty" blowing the blades off keeping up with his lineys of the 'FiveFive' line of "Shorty','Tires' and the 'Rook'. You know Short, Squires and Gillis cause I don't think any of em are over 5'5". Speaking of Gillis he picked up the other 'Hat' as in a hat trick, Oh and congrats to AP Greg Brown who got to take a puck home with his first goal in his first game with the crew assisted by 'Boo' and 'Stretch'.
Alex 'Darth' Mader picked up his first Leaf 'Ohhhh" with the shutout assited by the DMEN with 'ole' gives alot Little otherwise known as the 'Cap'n' helping with a save in the dying seconds and picking up a couple assists on tw of the 'Rook's' goals. I also liked the back hander by "Sport' from 'Himmer' and Parker. Parker with a goal and an assist on the night. 'Swainer' with a two point night closed out the scoring assisted by 'Hayesee' and "Nuts' who also had a goal and assist on the night. Other helpers were added by Mackenzie with 2 , Short and Longaphy.
