Leafs 2 Mariners 5
2013-02-03The crew were in it for two periods...one better than the last time.
I'm thinking a bag skate is in order so maybe we can get three periods outta the boys the rest of the way. Or maybe a lttle lead in the boot to help keep the foot to the floor for anothe 20 minutes.They need to play nine more of the good periods to keep the playoff push alive.

"At the Eastern Shore Community Centre in Musquodoboit Harbour the Eastern Shore Junior Mariners, on the strength of 4 unanswered third period goals, downed the Valley Maple Leafs 5-2 to take both ends of a home-and-home series. Friday night in Berwick they nipped the Valley 3-2.
Leafs forward Jory Uhlman picked up the only goal of the opening period to give the Valley team a 1-0 lead from Austin Himmelman and Jake Galbraith.
Shots after twenty minutes were dead even at 12 apiece.
Tyler Somers, on the power play, had the teams locked at one each before Jake Galbraith had the Leafs back on top at 2-1 from Mark Swain and David Hayes.
Shots in the period favoured the Leafs at 10-7 for a 2-period total of 22-19.
In the third it was all Junior Mariners as they connected for four goals from Scott MacDonald, Matt Canning, Tyler Somers, with his second, and Tim Mannette. Dominic Howelll chipped in with a pair of assists"
Rips 'nod' goes to 'twitter guy' who had the dpressing job of twitting 4 unanswered 3rd period goals by the Mariners with honourble mention to the heated seats which made it a little less painful..
Next time; Add lead to foot and Play 60 minuntes, SHOOT then shoot some more,stay outta box(penalty), score and celebrate a win
