Road trip shoot out loss

Sorry the old Ripper didn't get it up sooner (fifty) as he fell asleep for a  change.  Something like some of the crew last night,  they just didn't have the effort for two in a row,  you would think they were fifty.  I'm thinking maybe they celebrated their win Saturday night a little too much.  The only players to put up points both nights were Joe "Mack" MacDougall and Brady Fisher.  'Mack' had a goal and an assist On Kyle Kavanagh's goal.  Congrats to Kavvy for breaking the Cherry.  Olafr 'Smiddy' Scmhidt was solid between the pipes stopping far more than the shot clock total.  Infact I think we were actually outshot.  The boys are something like those other Leafs, 'win' then go on vacation for the next game.  If they do make the playoffs they're gonna need a little better back to back effort.  They'll get the chance to practice that this weekend with back to back games against Eastern Shore.  Here's hoping the Pens who wanted it more last night get another win again tonight against Sackville.

On the up side I guess, the boys got 5 of a possible 6 points last week, on the down side those 1 pointers are no good in playoffs.

Oh I wanted to give a shout out to all the Valley fans that made the trip to the Igloo last night to try and cheer on the boys and especially to Mitch Culley's father who is down from Ontario.


Rip's 'nod' goes to 'Smiddy' who I thought played a great game making some wicked stops to keep the boys in it.  Honourble mention to the "Force" line of  'Mack','Fish' and 'Stretch",  Mack with 2points and to 'Kavvy' for getting the cherry.
