Road Loss Pictou 6 Valley 4

2013-01-14

It was looking good after two but went South in the Third.

First off hopefully the Scotians player that got the puck in the face is Ok.

I guess you call that game a good 2/3's effort from the crew.

League report:

"In Trenton the Valley Maple Leafs built up a 4-2 lead after forty minutes before the Scotians rallied for 4 third period goals to slip past the Leafs 6-4.

Lucas Eshelman was the trigger man for the Scotians picking up a hat trick. Single markers went to Brandon MacKenzie, Brandon Verge and Dustin Bowron. MacKenzie, Verge and Bowron all picked up an assist with Craig Matheson adding a pair of helpers.

Jake Galbraith picked up 3 points for the Maple Leafs on a pair of markers and an assist. Craig Anderson and Mark Swain rounded out the Valley scoring.

The Maple Leafs lead 3-2 after one; 4-2 after two before the Scotians exploded for 4 unanswered goals in the final twenty minutes.

Ben Goss collected his 14th win on the year while call-up Rowen O’Brien was tagged with the loss.

Final shots were 42-37 Leafs."

The crew were looking good but just didn't keep the effort up in the third period.

Rip's "nod' goes to young Rowan O'Brien between the pipes for his Junior B defut with honourble mention to Sport with the 3 point night and to Swainer who was working hard in the corners to help out.

Next Up:
A week off to regroup and maybe do a little bag skating to get ready for the final eight games.  It might be a good time to get on a little winning streak when they get back at 'er"

Til then

Keep yer stick on the ice and maybe exercise that foot so you can yeep it to the floor for three periods.
