Hump Day

2013-01-09

Relaxed

Hump day a good day for screwing

with people's minds.   Ahhh! thought I missed the game report didn't ya (not this time).  I thought I'd do the ole "kill two birds with seven stones" trick and get last night's game report and the Hump Day report all in one......... Done.

Yep the boys went to the forrest and brought down the big game with yet another solid  #VML team effort/win over the Elk. That #VML thing is something the Twit Heads understand.  Speaking of Twit Heads(Twitter people) that's where I picked up the photo of "Nuts" filling in for Culley at the hospital late last night early this morning,  Hopefully Culley is OK.

That's how the night started out in Elkland with Culley getting winged in warmup giving Olafr "Smiddy" Schmidt the start and "Knuckles"(yeh Crousey) the backup.  Schmiddy stood tall early allowing the boys to keep the lead and keep the Elks off the board til late in the third.  The "Rook" Collin Gillis was on fire with a hat trick and an assist for four points, with ole "Nuts" also picking up two goals and two assists for four points.  Not to be out done, "Rook's" lineys each picked up three points with Squires who started his "B" carreer in Elkland picking up a goal and two assists and Joe "Mack" MacDougal picking up three helpers.  The DMen shone once again keeping the shot total down.

Almost forgot about all the dancing, you know "toe to toe dosey doe" with "Stretch"and"Slim" getting walking papers in the 2nd and Parker, "Boo" and Fish getting the gate in the third.
There was quite a crew to congratulate the rest of the crew when they came off the ice.

League report you can actually read here: http://nsjhl.ca/news.php?news_id=689168

Rip's 'nod' goes to "Smiddy" the man with the Hat, the Hard hat who played solid between the pipes with honourble mentions to "Rook" with the other Hat(hat trick) and to the rest of the crew with the solid effort.  Oh and let's not forget "Knuckles",  who got his goaltending debut late in the 3rd only allowing one goal.
