Valley 1 Ducks 3

2013-01-05

Shake up the duck order.

It was another game of Horshoes(close) unfortuantly those ringers off the posts and or crossbar aren't worth anything in hockey.

The boys seemed to have their ducks in a row however they didn't find the back of the net enough.  The crew looked good back from the holiday and it was good to see Captain Little back on the blades making his presence known.  It was just one of those games where things don't go your way  and as I've been trying to tell the boys that old "I fought the Law and the Law won" song is only to true.  It's hard to ge the upper hand from the box,  the penalty box at least.

Anyways the boys are off to the pond tonight to give "er' another go.  So line up them ducks again and this time know 'em' down.

League report "The teams played a scoreless first period with the Ducks out-shooting the Maple Leafs 15-8.

In the second Payton Tench, with the only goal of the period, had the Ducks up 1-0 from Chris Riguse and Jon Biron.

Shots in the period favoured the Leafs 9-5 for a 2-period total 20-17 Bay Ducks.

In the third Connor Hirtle had the Ducks sitting 2-0 from Chris Clark before Austin Himmelman answered for the Leafs to get to within one at 2-1. Joe Murphy cemented the win for the Ducks with an empty net goal with just 22 seconds showing on the clock."
