Brain Freeze Valley 3 Eastern Shore 6

2012-12-15

Austin Himmelman putting the boys up 2-0 with a solid effort.

To quote a future Engineer "Not the result we were looking for.."

Although the crew started out good  they just didn't seem to have enough "Umph" in their Get a Long.  I believe some of the boys brains must be mush from all the studying and exams  and perhaps maybe a few Xmas parties this time of year.

League write up here:

"In Wolfville Jordan Cox paced the Eastern Shore Junior Mariners with a pair of tallies while Tim Mannette, Dominic Howell, Tyler Harvie and Shane MacMillan all had singles as the Mariners doubled the Valley Maple Leafs 6-3. David Hayes, Austin Himmelman and Mark Swain answered for Valley.

The teams were tied at two after one; 4-3 Junior Mariners after two and the Mariners added a pair in the third.

Luke Zareski picked up his 7th win while Olafr Schmidt and Mitch Culley shared the duties for the Maple Leafs.

With the win the Junior Mariners get to within two points of the idle first place Sackville Blazers in the Fred Fox Division. The Maple Leafs remain in 3rd place just two points behind the Mariners."

I'm pretty sure it was Joe Hines in nets for the Mariners though.

Rip's 'nod" goes to Himmer with a good game and  honourble mentions to Leaf's support  Randy Graham and GM Harry Ullock who helped out with the game stuff.

Well here's hoping the boys got the exam blues shook off and have their ducks in a row for the "ROAD TRIP"  to the pond tonight to take on those pesky Ducks.
