Pond Hockey win at the Duck Pond

The Valley crew pull out a last minute win against the Ducks Saturday night in St Margarets Bay.

I think the boys thought it was Pond Hockey night as that's what it looked like at the start of the game.  The Duck got on the board first with the Valley boys getting it in gear in  the secnd tying it up on a goal by "Nuts" assited by Parker and Mackenzie.  With 2 mins left in the second period, Jake "Sport" Galbraith put the boys in the lead on a pretty go around the D back in front and past the goaltender move (cool) assited by Parker and  Mitch Culley the tendy who saw the boys needed a little help in the offensive department.  The boys seemed to have a little trouble with the Law as well as they had to fight off two and half 5 on three penalties with the Ducks scoring to tie it up on one of them.  Stretch got the boys going in the third with a Little toe to toe Doesy Doe that looked and sounded like it might of been a little hard on the knuckles.Thankfully Colin "Clutch" Gillis also known as "RooK" threaded the needle from "Nuts" with 57 seconds left on the clock to take the win.  Now "Rook" I gotta tell ya, you don't have to wait to the last minute of games to score goals ,  you're allowed to score anytime in the previous 59 minutes.  I believe this is at least the second maybe third goal that Rook has put between the pipes in the dying seconds to take the win.  The end result for the crew was a much needed two points to edge closer to those flaming Blazers and keep ahead of the Mariners for second.

Fulle results here:

Rip's nod goes to the man with "Hat "Jory Uhlman with his tying goal and a sssit on the winner.,  with Honourble mentions to Culley with his offensive and defensive effort making some wicked saves to keep the crew in it.  Sports goal was cool too.

Next up the boys look to take over first place agains those flaming Blazers:
