Fun Weekend for the Crew

2012-11-05

View from Old Man Dill's camp on the Hill

The Maple crew had a good weekend with a win and a Rookie party.

The crew started off the weekend with a 6-2 win over the Bulldogs on Friday night.  Then Saturday it was time for the Rookie party.  Judging by some of the pics I saw on that twitterer thingy it looks like the boys had some fun.  I especially liked that Maple Leaf ligour luge thing they had geared up (Cool, literally).

Well, figuring I'd be too much of a "has bin" to attend a  Maple Rookie party I thought I would see if ole calf sh yellow would make the climb to Old Man Dill's camp on the hill to give a report on Friday night's game.  In hind sight I suppose I coulda just called him,  that wouldn't have been as much fun and less dents.   Well the ole car made er 99.9% of the way under her own power.  That's where that ole "keep yer foot to da floor" comes in handy".

The "has bins" at the camp claimed to be hunting,  however they were hunting about as much as the Maple crew were playing hockey at the Rookie party.  I'm pretty sure the Rookies and the Camp "has bins" weren't top shelf on Sunday.

All in all the I'm sure the boys, both young and old er had a good weekend and now it's time to get serious.  Yep the old Fred Fox division is getting tight.  The Scotians helped out a little last night by slowing the Mariners climb in the points down a bit and Friday night they held East Hants to a point with a shoot out win.  The Leafs will have to be on their toes(preferably skates) this weekend as those pesky Ducks are coming to town.
