Leafs lose in Overtime 2-1

The boys pick up a point with a close OT loss to Sackville.
It was a close one last night in Kentville. Unfortunately close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades and slow dancing. The boys did look like they were slow dancing on occassion though, they seemed to be missing a little "giddy up in their get along".
You've heard the saying "I fought the law and the law won", well I think that came into play a little last night as the boys seemed to like the penalty box. I gotta tell ya these close ones are sure giving the ole ticker quite a work out.
Carole-Morris-Underhill of the Hants Jornal was on hand again last night and took some good pics as usual, check them out here along with the write up about the boys games this weekend.

Congratulations to Tyler Sandford who won $1225.00 in the Leafs Octoberfest 50/50 draw. Actually when we called the number on the ticket it was Lonnie Mcculloch(Tyler's step dad) that answered the phone. Lonnie bought a bunch of tickets and put his grankids and kids names on the entries. Not sure how much of that money Tyler will see but he did get a four wheeler last summer. Thanks Tyler and Lonnie and we'll be looking to sell you more tickets on the next one.
Rip's "nod" goes to Mitch Culley the man between th pipes who came up with some bigs saves on the night.
