Hump day a good day for
2012-10-10Getting ready for the weekend when the Pirates are coming to town. Well the Pirates are gonna be out numbered this weekend with all the Pumpkin people around.
It will be hard for the Pirates to pull off any kind of caper this weekend with all the Valley Pumpkin people out in full swing. Satud=rday would be a great day to take a trip to the Valley to pick up some of the fall harvest and maybe a couple of grinners for Halloween. If you plan it out right you could get in a little shopping, go for supper and be just in time for the drop of the puck at 7:30 at Kentville Centenial Arena. For you guys coming from Cape Breton you might want to stay overnight and maybe take in the ole pumpkin regatta on Sunday in Windsor. Just google "dani rippey pumpkin" under images and you'll see all kinds of fools in PVC's(Personal Vegetabel Craft) trying to cross Piziquid Lake. It can be quite entertaining. I think some of the crew will be there selling tickets and helping out. Here's a schedule

Speaking of entertaining the game on Saturday night should be a good one with the Maple out to avenge the shoot out loss they had in the Strait. The Pirates of course will be out to stay atop the Sid Rowe division and try and continue their winning streak. It definitely should be a barn-burner as they say, with the top two teams of the league going at it. Now I'm hoping with the support of all you fans and the Valley Pumpkin people plus the fact that we're in Our Barn, that the boys come away with the win.
