Brilliance and Bloopers
2012-09-30Saturday nights game at the Bayplex was entertaining to say the least.
Saturday nights 7-6 Shootout loss to the Miners in Glace bay could have easily been on one of those Blooper shows with some of the plays, both by the Valley and the Miners. There were also some moments of brilliance, like when Jory "chipped" in to set up David Hayes on his way to the Hat trick...there were a few beautiful setup passes in the game. I would say it was pretty much a 50/50 split between the bloopers and the brilliance in this one, on the up side the boys came away with 50% of the four avalable points on the weekend. Speaking of 50/50 and 50% It rust everyone is selling their tickets and everyone else is buying the Octoberfest 50/50 tickets??. Don't forget the Valley is also having a draw on a trip to see Toronta play Ottawa with auxillary prizes of some nice Adirondack chairs with the "Valley" logo on them. Ohhh, back to the game, with all the scoring that went on and back and forth I thought I would take the easy way out again. Check out the results here:

I do have to say the crew's penalty kill has been pretty good for the most part.
Rip's "nod "in this one has to go to David "Haysee" Hayes with the hat trick on his way to another four point night and still didn't get The "Hat" . Honourble mention goes out to Freddy and the bus driver for putting up with the crew.
