The Pirates stole one from the boys 6-5

2012-09-29

The Valley Maple Leafs came back to force the game to an overtime than a shoot out.

"David Hayes led the Valley team with a goal and three assists. Jory Uhlman, Luke Short, Brady Fisher and Nathan Little rounded out the scoring for the Valley team.

The Pirates led 4-2 after one; the second was scoreless and the Maple Leafs out-scored the home team 3-1 in the third with Nathan Little tying the game at five with just a single second showing on the clock to send the game into overtime. The 5-minute overtime period settle nothing with the shoot out decided on the Bourgeois goal.

Matt Schlotzhauer picked up his third win while the Valley goaltending duties were split between Mitch Culley and Olafr Schmidt."

Yeh I know I cheated and pasted form the League site.

Rip's nod goes to Haysee with the four point night and to Olafr Schmidt with the good job between the pipes to keep the Valley in the game.  Honourable mention to Ole gives alot Little for tieing it up with 0.01 left on the clock.  I'm pretty sure he was happy about that.

Next up the boys after a good night's rest,  I'm pretty sure their all resting, the crew take on Glace Bay tonight at 7:30.
