The Valley boys are over the hump and looking forward to getting on the ice this weekend for their season starting home openers in Berwick on Friday night and Kentville on Saturday night.
The boys are ready to roll after hump day practice and are looking forward to getting the season started. I believe with a few final roster adjustments (glad I don't have to make those hard decisions) the crew will be ready for game time 8:00 Friday night at the Appledome in Berwick against the Glace Bay Miners. This game will see many of the players facing their old team mate Jacob Mckendry(McKendry the Tendy) who is back in the valley for his first time since being picked up by the Miners. Hopefully the boys won't allow any mining in apple picking country and come away with a win.
Then it's right back at it again Saturday night when the Valley host the Pictou County Scotians at 7:30 in the Kentville Centennial Arena.
Looking forward to seeing a good turn out to welcome the boys to the Valley Maple Leafs. Now I know you all plan to make it to both games but if you can't for those couple, Tyler Whynot(Cat in the Hat) has a Twitter thingy setup that he plans to post game updates on https://twitter.com/ValleyMapleLeaf. Also the league has a blog that updates are posted on as well

If when your on the 101 Valley bound and you happen to see a skinny guy with a cane hitchhiking, stop and pick him up and take him to the game with ya.
