Some of the Boys helping with ticket sales at the Hants County Exhibition

Little,Uhlman,Crouse and Kavanagh tickets in hand and ready to go
Lloyd and Judy Rideout had some Little helpers selling tickets at the Ex this weekend, well Little was one of the helpers.
Some of the boys got out to the Ex on the weekend to help raise some coin for the Leafs. They got to take in a little smash and crash of the Demolition Derby, view some scenery and flog a few 50/50 tickets for the Leafs. The Valley team is raising money with a couple of different draws:
Octoberfest 50/50 tickets $5.00 each or 5 for $20 dollars with the winner being guaranteed a minimum of $1,000 to get sales started with a goal of getting the prize up to $5,000 by the time we draw for it at our home game in Kentville on October 20th. To reach our goal we have to be hard on the selling and everyone else hard on the buying and we beleive we will get there or at least within a row of apple trees.
The second is a draw for a Grand Prize of a trip for 2 to see the other Leafs(Toronto) vs the Senators in Ottawa on March 30th along with an earlybird draw for an a resin Adirondack chair with the Valley Maple Leafs logo on it (Cool chair). and another draw for a second chair. The grand prize draw is Jan 26th. Tickets for this draw are $10 each or 3 for $25. Good stocking stuffer for Xmas.
It was good to see the boys out helping and I'm sure we will put them to use some more.
Rip's nod (you know like the star of the game) goes to Lloyd and Judy for their efforts at the Valley Maple Leafs booth this weekend with honourble mention going to the players that dropped by and the rest of the people that helped out this weekend.
Next up the Appledome home opener this Friday against Glace Bay start time 8:00 with our ole buddy McKendry the Tendy coming to town. Hmmm not sure I'm gonna like him as much playing for the opposing team. Oops I guess next up is a little ice across the baldes with a little more practice time
