VML made the long trip to Liverpool on Saturday evening, where the Privateers won 9-4. In the first, Connor Barnhill and Logan MacLellan scored single markers while Kayden Nickerson netted a pair. Barnhill scored again in the second while Cody Burghardt put the Leafs on the board. Joe Parsons and Mitchell Singer then brought the Leafs to within a pair of goals in the third period at 5-3 before Barnhill and Nickerson both scored their third goals of the night to go along with another from Brett Himmelman and one from Mitchell Baker. Burghardt scored his second of the night prior to Baker’s goal to make the 9-4 final. Barnhill and Nickerson recorded three and two assists respectively while Cooper Stuart recorded four assists for the Privateers. Logan MacLellan added five assist to go along with his goal.
