Leafs 1 Penguins 7
2015-02-21Yep the crew played like Leafs and not the VML crew.
In the words of Forrest Gump "That's all I'm gonna say about that."
League write compliments of the ole cut and paste maneuver
"In a penalty filled game at the Windsor Exhibition Arena, Connor Currie and Shaun McEachern led the East Hants Penguins to a 7 – 1 win over the Valley Maple Leafs in the first semi-final game of this series.
Currie provided two goals and three assists, while McEachern added a further two goals to the score sheet, both on the Power Play. Also scoring for the Penguins were Connor Hirtle, James Shapeligh and Riley Strowbridge.
Jason Ellis was solid in goal, stopping 36 of 37 shots fired on his goal.
Greg Brown was the only Maple Leaf to get the puck past Ellis. Olafr Schmidt was credited with the loss, stopping 30 of 37 shots. Connor Morrison filled in for Schmidt for less than two minutes of the 2nd period, stopping both shots fired at him.
In what can best be called a very physical game, 37 penalties were handed out; 20 to the Maple Leafs and 17 to the Penguins.
The next semi-final game between these two teams will take place at 08:00pm, on Sunday, 22 Feb 15, at the East Hants Sportsplex."
Next up: Hopefully the VML crew show up
