Olafr 'Smiddy' Schmidt gets the 'Hard Hat' fior his performance between the pipes.
Yep and th ole 'Hard Hat' is only given out for a win. Ahh it's nice to see one back in the win column especially against those pesky 'Pens'. It was a 'beaut' with the crew coming on strong in the third period with Tyler 'Younger' Young tying it with 51 seconds left on the clock. 'Younger' it looks like the short hair has to stay. Yep I'm a little supersticous I even had the 'Lucky' hat and jacket on or maybe it was the new viewing location with "Old Man Felts'......No, it was just the solid don't give up effort of the VML crew that held out for the win.
Peter 'Lestoil' Lister got VML's first goal with thirteen minutes left in the third then addded a helper along with Gillis on 'Younger's' goal to tie it up. Lister also potted one in the shootout with Colin 'Willis' Gillis getting the shooutout winner.
Rip's 'nod' goes to the solid team effort with honourable mentions to 'Smiddy' between the pipes and the nice poke check, 'Lestoil' with the clean performance and 'Willis' with the shootout winner.
