The VML crew lose 4-1 to the Privateers Friday night
League write up " In a fast game at the Windsor Exhibition Arena, the visiting Liverpool Privateers outscored the hometown Valley Maple Leafs 4 – 1 to take home the victory. Joshua Clark provided two of the winning goals, with singles coming from Conner Carson and Cody Slaght.
Jacob Dempsey earned the win, stopping 31 of 32 Maple Leaf shots.
Replying with a single goal for the Valley, was Greg Brown, while Olafr Schmidt was credited with the loss, despite stopping 38 of 42 shots."
Yep the crew 'Funked' up. General consensus of most of my sources say the VML crew are in bit of a "Funk". I knew a guy nicknamed 'Funk' and he performed pretty much the same so I guess it fits. Better to get that 'Funk' outta the way now rather than playoffs.
On the up side after the last time the crew lost to Liverpool back November 21st, they went on a seven game win streak....so here's hoping history repeats itself.
Although no 'Hard Hat' was given out I gotta give a Rip's 'nod' to Olafr 'Smiddy' Schmidt who made some wicked stops to keep the crew in it and went one step further trying to get the crew back in it by setting up the lone goal with an assist.
Next up: a little Hants County Shuffle with East Hants in 'The Barn' on Sunday.
