Olafr 'Smiddy' Schmidt gets 1st Star

'Smiddy' gets called up by the Jr A Valley Wildcats and shines.
He was called up to play against Miramachi and helped the Cats to a 2-1 win stopping 37 of 38 shots and pciking up 1st stat honours for his efforts. Way to go 'Smiddy'. I believe they're No 1 goalie is out with injuries so 'Smiddy' will probaly get the 'nod' again.
On another note Carole has the update from last Friday's game against ELKs up on the Journal site, which I now can access since I got my Xmas present (digital subscription) early. There's som great action shots along with a Video of one of Brownie's goals. Check it out here.
