2014-10-14The VML crew lose one in a Shootout.
There was no 'Hard Hat' given out last night, so you know what that means. Yep they lost. I'd say the old choke on the carburetor wasn't working as they didn't get warmed up til the second period. Hmmm might be time to upgrade to fuel injection, I know the SRT8 Challenger I drove down last night sure had me warmed up. 'The Ripper' +SRT8 would = no license.
Anyways once the crew got the choke off they came back in the 2nd and tied it at two. They pulled ahead early in the third then the Blazers tied it up midway. OT solved nothing with the Blazers winning in the Shootout.

Rip's 'nod' goes to Peter Lister and Daniel Keays each with a goal and an assist. Honourable mention to 'Smiddy' between the pipes.
All n all not a bad game the crew did come away with a point from the defending champs. Now it's time to get ready for the home opener this Friday against the Glace Bay Jr Miners. They better have the ole fuel injection ready for this one because it's cold in the ole 'BARN', that and the crew will be out for a little redemption after the 7-3 loss in Glace Bay.
