Valley 4 Dogs 3
2014-10-11The crew come from behind to win a close one in overtime.
Maybe that's what they mean by 'doggie style'. The crew had a little trouble with the 'law' again, this time however they pulled out the win. The boys were down 3-1 in the third and had it tied up with just under six minutes to play.. then with a minute left they got a delay of game, that final minute was hard on 'the ripper's' old ticker. Yep they held on for the point for the tie and wnet one further for the win on a goal by Colin "Old' MacKinley assisted by Jonathan 'Cheerios" Hunson with his second helper of the night. Rounding out the scoring were Brown,Anderson and Jardine who tied 'er' up to send it to OT.
Game sheet here (Note the Dogs goal in the third was actually earlier) I underand why the League wants the sheets filled out better as it was hard to make out some of the times.
Anyway a big character win to get the crew back on track. Now it's time for some turkey and get ready for the defending League champs on Monday night.
Rip's 'nod' goes to Brandon 'Spidey' Parker who along with 'Haysee' put in a solid effort. Honourable mentions to: Connor Morrison with his first win between the pipes, "Cheerios' Hunson with two helpers; on the tying goal and the winner and last but not least to 'Old' MacKinley with the winner and his first VML goal.
Next up: Turkey Turkey Turkey...and maybe some ham.
Til then Give 'er'
